今日兩岸和平發展論壇、《海峽評論》雜誌社主辦的「課綱去台獨化座談」中指出，教科書爭議其實起始於1997年由李登輝強行推動的「認識台灣」教科書，其台灣國族史觀令「一中」觀念的學者大感不滿。兩岸和平發展論壇執行祕書張鈞凱代表說明，教科書本質問題是台獨史觀，他像大眾提出疑問，下一代希望接受的歷史教育是站在美化殖民者的立場，還是導回台灣人民愛國主義傳統？他表示，政治跟歷史是分不開的，在歷史過程中，台灣處於劣勢，讓有些人想透過反中、反共的動員切斷與中國的連結。因此，檢討教課書問題也要檢討國共內戰與兩岸分裂問題。（完整影音報導）
